Welcome to G. P. Vanier


 

As per Superintendent Sherry Elwood's letter (link attached below), written report cards will not be provided to students for a variety of reasons, mostly related to ongoing strike action.  All three secondary schools in the district are making marks available to parents on a drop in basis over the next week, starting this on, Thursday, July 3.  These marks will be for GRADES 10, 11, and 12 ONLY.  NO MARKS ARE AVAILABLE FOR GRADE 8 AND 9 STUDENTS.  As per the Superintendent's letter, all grade 8 and 9 students are being promoted to the next grade level and only grades from students on the Graduation Program track were considered essential for reporting under the latest Labour Relations Board ruling.

Office staff will have a copy of the term 4 and final marks for all grade 10, 11 and 12 students.  We are not authorized to give marks over the phone or via e-mail, as we cannot verify who is on the other end and for confidentiality reasons, we need to give these marks in a face to face manner. We are also not authorized to give a written copy of any of the marks that we have, though parents and students are free to copy the marks down and take that copy with them. 

Students and parents of grade 10-12 students are welcome to come in from Thursday, July 3- Friday, July 18 between 7am and 2pm where office staff will make these marks available to you.

We are also missing a great number of textbooks from our school library and we were really hoping that if parents or students were coming in to check marks that they could bring with them any textbooks or library materials from home for return.  Thank you very much for your assistance with this.
