Other Opening Week Details...

Firstly, I would like to welcome all new families to the Vanier Community.  We have an excellent staff and will do our very best to support you through this journey together.  Secondly, I hope this message finds all of you faring well.  It has been an amazing summer to say the least.

We have been busily preparing and planning for the 2014-15 school year since last spring.  However, there are a significant number of processes that we have not been able to do, both in terms of school ending and school start up.  We are anticipating an exceptionally busy opening.  Your child and your time are important to us.  I do not want anyone to feel that concerns or issues are not being heard.

In an effort to be respectful and honour your time and your needs, I am requesting that you do not make an appointment during the three days of school opening.  That will give us an opportunity to deal with emergent matters efficiently and be in a better place to address your questions without interruptions.

We are currently poring over class issues, looking at timetable issues, and resolving registration issues.  To those of you who have requested a placement, I am asking you to remain patient until we see our actual student population.  That way we can be confident in offering a program for your child.

We look forward to working with each and every one of you this year.  Please feel free to send me an email if you have a question or concern that is pressing and needs immediate attention.
